The Sound of Giggling

A few days ago, I heard giggling and hand clapping coming from the counseling office of our smallest safe house in Cambodia. I rounded the corner to find a good old fashioned game going on of sing song hand slapping. You know the type where it gets faster and faster until someone messes up and they are OUT! I stood and watched them for many minutes until a victor emerged. And I thought that they could have been little girls anywhere.
The truth is that they are at Rapha House to heal from trauma. And listening to them laugh, I realized once again how precious the sound of healing is.
