Hope

Today, the bride wears white. Not long ago, most people thought that she would never marry, at least not to any young man worth marrying. And there was a time when Nisi felt the same way. But today, she wears white and is marrying a young man from her local church.

A few weeks earlier, Nisi tearfully speaks at her graduation from the Rapha House Freedom Center, our aftercare program, where she learned to be a seamstress. She tells how she came to Rapha House dead on the inside but now has a new heart, hope and happiness. She says that she wants to give back by serving God and others. And she is.

In a very real sense, you made Nisi’s wedding day possible. For what real hope would she have had without someone like you? Little, if any.

Most girls dream of their wedding day. Trafficked and exploited girls, however, learn that such dreams only taunt them and add to their pain.

A bell is no bell 'til you ring it, A song is no song 'til you sing it, And love in your heart wasn't put there to stay – Love isn't love 'til you give it away.
